The law firm as it is known today started with the merger of two North Platte firms in 1979. The firm’s name and size has changed through the years, but our commitment to providing quality legal services to the Midwest has remained constant. We currently have eight attorneys and two attorneys of counsel, Gary Byrne and Donald Kelly, who consult on cases as needed and remain close with the firm.
We promote a calm and cohesive work environment and 10 of our 14 current employees are proud to say they have been with the firm for more than 10 years. Our commitment to our employees is mirrored by our commitment to our clients. We have been helping some of our clients for generations and look forward to assisting their children and grandchildren in the years to come.

Given our location in Western Nebraska, we live by the Midwestern values of hard work, honesty, and solid relationships. With all of our attorneys being raised in Nebraska, we have a strong history in North Platte and the surrounding area. We take pride in our community and Western Nebraska. Many of our attorneys are actively involved in community organizations, and have committed to contributing to the community just as we commit to our clients. We believe a thriving community helps our clients to succeed, and we are both community and client minded because of this.
Team Approach
When a client’s legal needs require more than one area of the firm, as many do, we take a team approach when handling cases. Each attorney focuses our attention to our own specific area(s) of practice. Since no two attorneys have the same experience, we work together as a team combining our knowledge and experience to provide our clients with as many resources as possible. Leaders In The Field
The focused practice areas of each attorney gives us the ability to become leaders in our field. We regularly attend state and national conventions to ensure we are on the leading edge of legal issues our clients may face. We have published law review articles, practice area periodicals, and standalone books. We present at conventions and seminars for fellow attorneys as well as school administrators, school and community board members, bank employees and other non-legal groups.
